How can i minimize my camping things?
ok, i am taking 6 ppl camping with me for a week we r going to have 2 cars we r sleeping in tents the thing is we have 2 small cars and a lot of stuff to bring so how should we pack and how can we make it so there wont be a lot of stuff 2 bring but still have everything we need? we r camping next week so answer fast! oh and there is a bathroom so no need for porta pottys or anything like that lolz it will be 3 adults and three kids so yeah 2 girls 1 boy
Being organized is very important, as is understanding what you really need vs what you want to bring.
Nobody needs to bring more than a couple of pairs of extra clothing. Your camping, so wearing dirty clothes is OK. Everyone’s clothing, toiletries and personal stuff should fit in to a backpack or small (carryon size) suitcase. They can be carried on laps in the car if trunk space is a problem
Organize cooking equipment in to a plastic tub so that it is all together in one container. All the food should be in one or two ice chests. Tents and sleeping bags will take up the most room, but they can be smashed and compressed to make room.
Packing the trunks is like playing tetris. Just keep working at it until everything fits. You’ll be surprised as to what you can fit in there.
I have been on plenty of trips (camping, traveling, etc) where there wasn’t much wiggle room for the passengers until we reached our campsite/destination because of all the bags, sleeping bags, pillows, etc that we all had to hold during the trip.
